Welcome to our Chase Ready Leadership Team page. Our dedicated team works together to ensure every child’s transition from Year 6 to Year 7 is smooth, supportive, and inspiring. From organising our Chase Ready Days and Chase Ready Week to ensuring every family feels informed and confident, we are here to guide you every step of the way. Meet the staff who lead our transition programme and who will be working closely with your child to help them feel Chase Ready from day one.
Mr I Turnbull – Headteacher

Starting secondary school is an exciting milestone, and our Chase Ready programme ensures that every child feels confident and supported as they join our community. Mr D Higgs – Director of Year 7 and Leader of Transition
Hello and welcome to Cannock Chase High School. I am the Director of Year 7, and I lead the Chase Ready transition programme. I am also proud to be an ex-student of Cannock Chase High School myself, so I know first-hand what a welcoming and supportive community this is. My role is to ensure your child feels settled, safe, and ready to thrive from their very first day with us. I am here to support both students and families through this transition, answer any questions you may have, and ensure that Year 7 is a positive, exciting, and successful year for everyone.

Mrs L Handley – Assistant SENCO

Your child’s form tutor is their first point of contact each day and plays a vital role in supporting their wellbeing, confidence, and success at Cannock Chase High School. Our tutors are dedicated to helping students settle in, build friendships, and feel ready to learn. Meet our friendly and experienced team of Year 7 tutors who will be there to guide, encourage, and care for your child throughout their next five years with us.
7A – Miss S Grew
Hello, I’m Miss Grew, a new member of the Science department at CCHS. I am passionate about helping students understand how the world works and enjoy seeing them grow in confidence as scientists. As your tutor, I will always be here to support you, answer your questions, and ensure you feel happy and ready to learn every day.

Hi, I’m Mr Atkins, a Science teacher at Cannock Chase High School. I love making science exciting and practical for everyone. As your tutor, I look forward to getting to know you all, supporting you through your first year at secondary school, and helping you achieve your very best.

Hello, I’m Mrs Hoar, a new member of the Mathematics department at CCHS. I am really looking forward to being your tutor and helping you settle in quickly.
