Chase Ready Week takes place at the end of the summer holiday, just before students officially start with us in September. This important part of our transition programme allows students to come into Cannock Chase High School in a more relaxed setting, helping them to feel confident, welcomed, and ready for the term ahead.
During Chase Ready Week, students spend time with their new peers and key staff, begin building friendships, and gain a valuable insight into what life at Cannock Chase High School has to offer. Students participate in a wide range of activities across the week, including team building activities, arts and crafts, sports sessions, and a visit from the Animal Man, creating memorable experiences and building confidence before starting Year 7.
"I was really nervous before starting Chase, but Chase Ready Week helped me make friends and feel comfortable. I loved all the activities, especially when the Animal Man came in with the animals. It made me feel excited to start Year 7.” – Jenson, Year 7 Student
Chase Ready Week was amazing because I got to make apple crumble in food tech, which was really fun, and I loved the inflatables in the sports hall. It made me feel really happy about coming to CCHS because I knew there were so many exciting things to do.” – Ava, Year 7 Student
